Bishop Craig began serving as the WND Synod’s Bishop on September 1, 2020. He has always seen himself as a pretty easy-going person who seeks to daily discover anew how God is present in his life and in the world in which he lives and serves.

Bp. Craig is called to guide the overall vision and mission for the Western North Dakota Synod. He shepherds the call process in the southern part of our synod and is the primary contact for Rostered Minister Transitions, First Call, Rostered Minister Care, Synod Council, Conference Deans, Congregational Conflict, and assisting congregations in navigating congregational leadership and community dynamics. He represents our synod in the ELCA Conference of Bishops and our Ecumenical Relationships.

Outside of his life as Bishop,  Craig enjoys reading, all music, a little golf, a cold beverage with friends, and intentional times of quiet. And, of course, spending time with his wife Wendy and twin daughters Ilia and Taegan.
